Alamogordo Residents Sound Off on Sustainable Green Spaces

Keep Alamogordo Beautiful (KAB) recently conducted a survey to gather community input on the City of Alamogordo's Sustainable Green Spaces Program. The survey, which ran from October 26 to November 30, 2023, received 118 responses from Alamogordo residents of all ages and backgrounds. Demographics of Respondents Age:  18-24 (6.8%), 25-34 (19.5%), 35-44 (14.4%), 45-54 (16.9%), 55-64 (22%), 65+ (20.3%) Gender:  Female (72.9%), Male (25.4%), Non-Binary (1.7%) Length of Residency in Alamogordo:  10+ years (55.5%), 1-5 years (30.3%), 5-10 years (10.1%), Less than one year (4.2%) Green Space Usage and Preferences Survey respondents indicated that they frequently use green spaces in Alamogordo, with  parks (84%)  being the most popular type of green space, followed by  trails (65.5%)  and  natural areas (42.9%) . Volunteer with Keep Alamogordo Beautiful for District 5's Annual Clean-Up Event!

Join us on Saturday, July 15th from 7am-12pm for Alamogordo District 5's Annual Clean-Up Event! We'll be picking up trash and debris from our community's parks, trails, and streets. All ages and abilities are welcome. To volunteer, please RSVP click here . We'll provide gloves, trash bags, trash grabbers, and vests. You can bring your own snacks and sunscreen. Keep Alamogordo Beautiful's Adopt-A-Spot Program Grows with New Adopters

Keep Alamogordo Beautiful (KAB) is excited to announce that several new businesses and individuals have adopted spots in our community through our Adopt-A-Spot program. Wells Fargo Alamogordo has adopted Tierra De Suenos Park. Wells Fargo Alamogordo adopting Tierra De SueƱos Park Mystic Smoke and Trinkets has adopted Alamogordo Airborne Park. First Command Financial Services has adopted Las Alturas Park. Josh & Oracio Farmer have adopted Rutz Park. Dan Roshio has adopted Paiute Park. These new adopters join a growing list of businesses and individuals who are committed to keeping Alamogordo beautiful.
