Keep Alamogordo Beautiful (KAB) recently conducted a survey to gather community input on the City of Alamogordo's Sustainable Green Spaces Program. The survey, which ran from October 26 to November 30, 2023, received 118 responses from Alamogordo residents of all ages and backgrounds. Demographics of Respondents Age: 18-24 (6.8%), 25-34 (19.5%), 35-44 (14.4%), 45-54 (16.9%), 55-64 (22%), 65+ (20.3%) Gender: Female (72.9%), Male (25.4%), Non-Binary (1.7%) Length of Residency in Alamogordo: 10+ years (55.5%), 1-5 years (30.3%), 5-10 years (10.1%), Less than one year (4.2%) Green Space Usage and Preferences Survey respondents indicated that they frequently use green spaces in Alamogordo, with parks (84%) being the most popular type of green space, followed by trails (65.5%) and natural areas (42.9%) .
